Cells Bounded by living flexible cell membrane Bounded by non-living rigid cell wall
Chlorophyll Not present in animal cells Present in most plant cells
Carbohydrate Stored in the form of glycogen Stored in the form of starch
Nutrition All in heterotrophic Most are autotrophic
Growth Most animals shows quick responses to stimuli Most plants shows very slow responses to stimuli
Irritability Definite growth pattern Indefinite growth pattern
Movement Most animals show active movements Most plants show limited growth movement such as tropism
Sex Sexes are separated in most animals Most plants are hemaphrodites
